THANKS FOR INFO ICEMAN THE BOTTOM CYLINDER HAS 150 LBS. COMPRESSION. iT WAS A BAD PLUG BUT EXPLAIN SOMETHING TO ME. THE PLUG HAD GOOD FIRE WHEN TAKEN OUT AND GROUNDED TO THE BLOCK ,BUT NO FIRE WHEN SCREWED INTO THE BLOCK

My dad had a similar problem with a car. The spark plug failed under pressure. In the open air, the plug gap sparked, but under the compression cycle, the plug would not fire.
Don't know the reasoning for this.
