1983 40hp have Oil Injection?

Or will I be mixing gas and oil. If so, what is the correct oil/gas mix?

50:1 unless it has an AutoBlend unit between the gas tank and motor. 50:1 is more reliable than that unit and most have been retired by now in favor of pre-mixing.

Ditto....

If it has an Autoblend boat mounted oil reservoir.......toss it out.

You may want to run some fuel conditioner through it for the first little bit, just to get some carbon out.

Mercury makes one self-branded, and products like Seafoam are a good alternative.
