Re: 1983 470 merc alternator kit

....most conversion kits that I have seen have detailed instructions for the installation, including wiring connections and isolations.

I elected to remove my old regulator and stator in an effort to reduce the weight I was lugging around. While removing the regulator I took the time to replace the former water supply hose from the transom nipple with fiber reinforced clear hose to the heat exchanger. I can now SEE my cooling water flow should I get an overheat symptom.

I left everything on. I used wire nuts on the cut wires and taped them well. Eventually I may pull them off.
