1983 bayliner capri cuddy 18 ft fuel capacity???

I was wondering if anybody knows what the fuel capacity is on my boat? It is a 1983 bayliner Capri cuddy cabin 18 ft with the Volvo penta aq125 / 270.

I don't know off hand, but if you can find your manual (contact Bayliner with your hull id) and they should be able to get your owners manual and it will tell you in there or if they have a parts manual for your boat, it will tell you in there as well.

Bayliner has great customer service even with the older boats (i have a 90 and got great help from them).

28 gallons. I was doing some engine work this weekend and while I was in the engine compartment I noticed a label on the top of the fuel tank, wiped it off and bam...right there it reads a gallon capacity of 28. I am shocked...my fuel gauge only kind of works intermitantly so I have been guessing on fuel levels but I used the boat for 2 full days towing tubes, fishing, and cruising at WOT at the lake on the same tank of fuel and when I went to refuel it only took 14 gallons to top off. Pretty impressive and reassuring. I am going to a BIG lake soon and will need the range.
