50/50 will work just fine.

I believe the correct mixture would be 50/1 with a GOOD quality marine two cycle oil. If this motor is new to you might I suggest that you check out the post on "Waking a Sleeping Motor" that has been marked at the top of the forum. Reading thru that post may save you some headaches in the longrun. I'd hate to see you get frustrated. Good luck...

FWIW John, I knew what you meant. I've done the same thing dozens of times. As I like to say...If that's the worst thing you do all day, you're in pretty good shape.
