I checked ignition switch and kill switch. They are o.k. Now I'm checking charge coils. The two wires from the coil reads 550mega ohms!!My manual says something about using a stevens cd voltometer. I'm using a dig. ohmmeter. Is that o.k.??Manual says the reading should be 475-625 ohms. Can I safely condemn the coils??

boatin,

Are you sure you didn't pop a fuse. There is one that disables the ignition near the starter. It is small and is in a small housing that looks like a regular wiring connector.

Almost positive I checked that. I'll check again tomorrow. It ran last year. Now I'm not getting a spark at any of the plugs when I pull them and lay them on the engine metal.
