hey guys have a few questions on my engine.first i checked compression rebuilt carbs and got engine running after 4 year vacation.it runs great on muffs takes throttle without hesitation.but in water it takes for ever to plain the boat out like the prop is to big.now the boat i got from my father inlaw he never used it but owner befor him said it ran fine.but anyways once it plains it has power mid to top but once i slow down all over again. o and its a 89 bayliner capri bow rider any help would be great

How big is your boat and how much does it weigh? Is there any water logged foam in the boat? What prop are you using, and what are your WOT rpm's? Do you have tilt and trim and are you using it? What are your compression reading and have you verified a good spark? Answer these first and we can probablay help you more.

no water log in boat yes i use the trim its a 17 foot boat i belive its a michigan prop not sure of size when i looked at prop imprint it said 11 003 but i know it isint right size or 14 03 hard to read i forgot to say at first i have to trim engine up a hair bit to get rpm up then lower it then its fine but has good spark like i said it runs fine out of water but when under load it picky almost like advance timeing isnot working but it is?? o and comp.was 120 all no tech to tell rpm a wot but sure sounds good
