i have just acquired a 1983 johnson outboard. it apparently runs ok but hasnt run for 4 months. i have bought new plugs,new gear oil,new zinc. i havent fittecd anything yet as i want to know, what are the main things to check prior to attempting to start it. some of the diagrams are worn on the throttle so im abit vague as to the position it should be in to start.<br />if anyone could tell me the correct sequence i would be grateful.<br />i have got the date from the code J15BALCTA<br />ITS A 15HP
