Re: 1983 johson electric start

I am having similar problem with an 84 25hp Evinrude with the additional issue that the exhaust is excessively smokey. The drum that I am running the motor in has developed a heavy skim of oil very quickly. Help?

25 hp johnson, carb rebuilt 2007 by marine mech.,can it be bad already? how can be sure, can carb be cleaned with aerosol, sprays? would this get to jets without removal (probably not) need I remove and disassemble and re replace kit along with lines how to prevent this from happening again (can you tell a cadet when you hear from one lol)

If you hold your hand in the exhaust from the upper ports you get a lot of oily water coming out. Does that seem normal?
