1983 Merc 80hp wiring?

I wired a new tach in the boat today and now the controls don't work, no tilt/trim, choke or starter. I have two wires left with out a home, brown with white strip and tan or orange(sun faded).

Can some one tell me what the wires are that come from the plug on the front of the control box?

Purple - 12volt
Black - ground
Gray - tach signal
Brown/white line - ????
Orange or tan - ????

The motor serial is 7189124.
