1983 V160 Starcraft

Hi everyone first time posting here.

So, I'm helping my brother with the aforementioned boat. He picked it up for a good price but it has some issues. First being the ignition switch was missing. He picked up a new one and has a wiring diagram but he does not know how to install it. Does the key go cut side up or down. There are no numbers on the switch so he does not know where the wires go. If someone could post pic of their switch showing were the wires go that would be very helpful.

The second issue is the cables . Could someone post a pick of which cable goes where on the out drive.

Outboard 75hp?
Pix of your motor would help, or at least a year &/or serial # so it can be looked up online. A 1965 75hp will likely be different then a 1978 Chrysler.

I'm not familiar w/ Chrysler OB's but there should be an attachment point on the lever that engages the F-N-R & allows you to attach the cable, and on many other brands, there's a slotted keyhole on the front of the motor to attach the steering cable, or a tilt-tube that the steering cable goes into.

You might need a bracket that mounts to the transom or splashwell to attach the cable(s).
