So i recently purchased a 1984 gibson hurricane deckboat with a 3.8 229cid motor and had.to put a new starter on it as the bearings went out in the original. I was changing out the old alternator and got excited to get it in the water and low and behold i forgot to do the first thing you should always do while working on electrical... unhook the battery. Needless to say i was undoing the alternator and it arced and thats when i remembered... a little too late. Now i have the new alternator in i hooked everything back up and there is literally no power anywhere, to any of the switches, the out drive wont lift or lower, and it wont start. I am guessing it is a fusible link... i checked with a test light and there is power from the battery to the starter but thats it, no power to anything else including the alternator, so i am guessing a fusible link. The only problem is i spent almost 3 hours tracing wires looking for a fusible link and did not prevail, anyone know where it would be and if i am on the right track to find and fix my electrical gremlins? Any help would be appreciated.

There is a large blob inline near the power stud that is the inline fuse
