When i start up the engine, it will start, and run for about a second, then pop, like it's backfiring almost, or missing, then die. This will repeat for about 4-5 times when starting up cold, then it will go away, and the motor will run fine. The only other time i notice it missing is when i throttle down. You can her is slightly miss when you throttle down from WOT. Anyone know what this could be? I re-built my carb last year, so i'm pretty sure it's not that. I've run seafoam through it, and i stabilize my fuel. Thanks for the help.

Misfiring, assuming the fuel system and carb are ok of course, is usually related to the plugs or the ignition system. Check that the plugs are not damaged or loose, should be torqued to 18.5 to 20.5 ft/lbs. Make sure the leads are not faulty or crossed. For the ignition, ensure the timing is correct, no loose wiring or damaged coils, no leads grounding out, no arcing around ignition coil or key switch. Could also be the sensor coil, charge coil or power pack.
