I recently acquired a 1984 OMC V6 (3.8L), with the hydraulic cylinders on the front of the motor. Is there anybody that offers rebuild kits for these? Mainly need the rubber bushings that attach at the bottom.

Any and all help is always appreciated.

there's no kit available. You can buy the individual seals from any Evinrude dealer (part numbers and pricing at shop.evinrude.com- shown under "engine mount group"), or if you have a good local hydraulic shop, they can match them up to Parker T Seals (that's all they are really)and I forget what style the rod wiper is, but it is also common Parker style. Many years ago I made up kits using Hercules brand seals which are better quality than the Evinrude stuff- I just measured the seals and cross referenced them to the Hercules catalog.
I had to buy minimum quantity, so I put some "kits" on ebay years ago and made a few bucks - you could probably do the same and get paid for the repair.

you're going to eBay for the rubber mount parts unfortunately. They were made by a company in Hamilton, ON whose name escapes me, but the company name is molded into the rubber, and I called them at one time to see if they still made that shape. It was not a fluid conversation as I recall- I never did get anywhere but you could try.

Ok. Thank you, I appreciate it. The hydraulic seals wont be a problem. I may can take the rubber mounts to our local rubber and gasket shop and have them made. Was hoping to find some already out there. Other than that it appears to be in decent shape. There was even new a new transom seal and water pump in a box.
