1984 90hp merc tower carb swap?

is there any advantage to putting a set of carbs from a 115 on my 90? are they interchangeble? increase in power? any thing to look out for? is it even reallity? the 90 is a 1984 and the 115 is a 70's model will this make a difference or will it work. the 115's are clean and rebuilt the 90's are not touched.

Charging carbs may decrease performance, since the original carbs are designed for your motor's "breathing" ability. You will not achieve any additonal power, BTW, due to the limits of the 90HP block design.
