Re: 1984 gamefisher 7.5 replace

Not enough information. You're looking to get a different outboard? A new one? A used one?

What boat is it going on? What is the maximum horsepower rating for your boat.

There are very few air-cooled outboards still made, and those are very small horsepower. What's your reason for wanting an air-cooled outboard? They're noisy, and the single-cylinder outboards vibrate like crazy.

So...give us more information and we'll try to help.

I think what he is saying is he wants to change the powerhead.
IMO don't bother.Your just flogging an inferior setup.
Put your time and effort into a 3,4,5,5.5 or 6 hp Evinrude or Johnson
from the early 50s to the late 70s.More reliable, faster, smoother, quieter.
Routine parts available from dozens of venders and any well established BRP dealer.

If it's a 7.5, that's the biggest powerhead available, and he's at the end of the production era on that outboard. Throwing good money away, if you ask me. I like your recommendations.
