just bought a 75hp merc...took it out and found out it wont idle ..if i put it in neutral and rev it runs amazing.. but soon as i try to put it in gear it stalls because it has a idle problem.. but sometimes if im quick enough i can get it in gear and it runs like a dream..just prefer it it idled.. any help? is it just a idle mixture adjustment issue or possible other problem?? also it makes crazy noises when i put it in reverse..is that a cable problem or am i looking at a $350 reverse gear and a clutch dog?
