1984 rude xp150 hot one side of cylinders

Looking from the rear of the engine the left side cylinders are running hotter than the very cool to the touch right three cylinders. This was on the muffs , good cool stream from the pee hole, any thing to check or should I run it in the water, this was the first time I started the motor from a very long winter in Kansas City.

My 150 ocean pro runs real hot on the muffs,but in the water not a problem.Try pulling the thermostats out and put them in boiling water.See if the hot side is opening properly.Might even be a blocked water passage on that side.
