Okay guys, I know I have been popping in and out about certain boats I have been looking at. Here is a new one I found. I don't know much except that the trailer is missing a tire and it is dual axle. Guy said it can be trailered that way if I bought it and that the motor needs starter and battery. So kind of bad since I can not hear it run I think. I was planning to go look at it tomorrow before I decided 100percent on that 1960 Glasspar Seafair Sedan. Let me know what you think.

The part that I question is that owner states interior upholstery has been done but he is selling it for $1700 for a 27' boat. hmmm...

The whole reason for a larger boat then a 17' was to have a cuddy cabin but with this I was thinking what a damn good deal but at same time I have a feeling it will need a completed restoration.

Be very, very careful. I think you should figure the price of a re-power into your offer, and that only if the rest of the boat checks out. Some tandem axle trailers can be towed with only 3 wheels in place, but you risk overloading those 3.

Repower as in the entire I/O setup or just the Inboard? The Inboard is like a car can be rebuilt and not over worried about that. As for the trailer I'm towing it 45 miles. Think that would be okay? I have a spare trailer tire and rim but waiting on OO to tell me if it will fit.

Also factored in if I decided to buy it and the price was $1700 BO I could talk him down to maybe $1500 and then or more, if things don't go my way I part it out.

By that I was thinking not repower, but I guess you can call it that but rebuild. Suppose that will be a pig in its own having to tear down the motor inside the boat and rebuild it.

So you think lower in price? It is a 1984 so it's got age but jeez for the size is it going come lower on price you think?

I see upholstery on deck that needs done. Looks to need a lot more work than the other.... Not sure what she was abused -- used -- for but certainly not taken care of....

Yea not sure on abused either but shows signs of that huh? It's older but obviously if a boat 24 years older then this one in better shape sure tells you a lot.
