I have recently gotten a 18 foot starcraft supersport aluminum hull with i/o mercruiser 4 cylinder. My question is where is the gas tank originally loacted. As of now it above deck located on the rear port side corner. When its in the water is cause the boat to list to that side and make steering tough cause i'm always compensating for the pull to the left. Any info on this would be great and i would surley appreciate it. Thanks D

Venom welcome to iboats and the Starcraft club . I am pretty sure most of the I/O boats had the gas tanks right where yours is on my 16' Jupiter V I have an outboard and have 2 tanks that go all the way across the rear of the boat. I know NB put his back in the corner where it came from on his 21'er . We will be needing pictures of yours :D.

Welcome to iboats....... the place where many Starcraft addicts meet...... we will not admit our addiction but we have it! :D

The boat is "new" to you and pulling to the left is due to a tab adjustment on the outdrive....... not the fuel tank. Take a glance at this post http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=250928 and you will have to make an adjustment.

New boats have associated learning curves and this is just one of them. Hey feel free to check in here http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=298301 and please post a few pictures ;)

Venom if you dont have any missing or loose rivets that you can find and I know theres a zillion of them :D get yourself a 2 pound Gluvit kit and coat all the seams and rivets from inside while you have the deck out. You can get it here on iboats or at a local marine supplier . I picked mine up local less than $50 bucks for a 2 pound kits and thats plenty to do all the rivets and seams in our boats.
