OK, went to lake today have a new problem, or maybe old one is getting worse.Had 4 people in the boat.2 men, 350lbs, 280lbs,2, 9 year old boys,80lbs,90lbs.left the boat dock stabed it about 1/4 mile from the dock at WOT boat started to slowly lose speed, like its running out of gas.If I pull the throttle back 1/4 of the way it would pick up and keep going. If I held it at WOT it would slow and fall off plan. The only numbers I got today (Lubedude)was with all 4 people at 3/4 throttel running 4000rpm 45mph with the GPS.this is all I could get.Im thinking the fuel pump might be bad.Any thoughts? Thanks Joe

Should change them every couple of seasons, they are not very difficult to do, just make sure all the layers go back together the way they come apart. I try and do a water pump one season, and the fuel pump the next.

Just came in from running on the hose.I found gas leaking from a plastic plug on the left side of the motor. where the throttel and timeing arms mount to the block.Has 2 srews in it and its dimond shaped. It about 4 or 5 inches long and pointed on the end. Took srews out and it has a O'ring on the plug obout 1 1/2 down.Like I said its dripping gas and bubbleing air also.Sprayed a squirt of carb cleaner at it and died the motor a little.Could this be my problem. Thanks Joe
