1984 yam 175 plug wire test/plug condition

Ive got a manual on order but want some answers and will have lots of questions. q1 does the plug wire come off at the coil it appears to be one unit. I had the wire at the #2 cylinder come off at the plug end cap, noticed it had a screw in it. I want to check resistance on my wires.<br />Q2 What should the spark plugs look like after you've ran the motor? mine were wet and oily looking.

Grandmaster,<br /><br />The Yamaha parts site is great to find out what parts look like.<br /><br /> Yamaha parts <br /><br />Your model seems to have just missed out though! I would assume it is like the 85 with ignition coil and lead in one. This seems the Yamaha norm.<br /><br />I think wet and oily is ok as long as they aren't dripping. What is the problem?

thanks ian , went to it and printed off some things. They didn't have my model listed 220aeto<br />but found one that looked simular.
