1985 15 hp evinrude

I have a 15 hp 1985 evinrude i replaced the impeller kit but i still don't have any water going out the pee hole what can the problem be can someone help please.

Is your engine overheating? If it is not, it could simply be that the pee hole is clogged. Take a long piece of wire and try to dislodge whatever is in there. If your engine is overheating, then either you did not install the water pump correctly or there is some blockage between the water pump and cylinder block.

If you run it for a minute, the thermostat should open and then a mist of water will exit the port above the waterline in the back. It doesn't have to be much of a mist, but if any water comes out there, it's going through the block and cooling your motor. Confirm by touching head w/finger briefly. You should be able to touch it for a couple seconds, as it won't be too hot. Check the pee-hole exit point for blockage w/a thin wire. If that's not it, post back

clogged pee hose (ouch), remove and blow the hose out.

I already checked everything I have some water coming out but the motor is getting really hot i cant even touch it for a second

Is this a new to you motor? If the motor was not overheating before you changed the impeller, then you need to pull the lower unit off again and see what is wrong. Could be the water tube is not connected or the impeller was installed incorrectly. If this motor is new to you and the problem existed when you got it, then you could have a blockage somewhere or the thermostat is stuck in the closed position. You could try removing the thermostat and testing it. You could also remove the head gasket and see if the water passages around the cylinders are full of corrosion. If this was a salt water motor that was not flushed after use, those passages could be full of stuff.

you likely have a collapsed watertube grommet under the powerhead,the rubber over time strangles the watertube due to a reaction between the copper and alum.you can try blowing air up the tube and see if you can detect a resistance by air not flowing freeley,the powerhead needs removal to replace the grommet
