1985 18/25 Merc XD Lower unit capacity

Hi...my brother in law has a 1985 18hp XD Mercury. I have the same year in a 25 hp XD Mercury. Are the lower unit capacities the same? If so...just what is the amount in ounces that they take? Thanks in advance....wjw

All 18-20-25HP are 7.6 oz capacity
