I just picked up this motor E40RWLCOM and the gear case is shot / Not guts in it.
Basically Im gunna need a new one. This an 85 motor with the split gear case. I didn't know they kept that design past 79!
Now most motors this year and around with electric start have the sealed gear case. So my question is. What years / HP with the split gear case will fit?
It looks like the same gear case that was on both my 1956 35hp motors i've had in the past.
