1985 50hp merc. no rpm's

Help, I can only get 1100 rpms out of motor. carb's have been torn down,soaked, and rebuilt with new kits. Stater is new, rectifier is new, and powerpack checks out ok for voltage readings. Any help?

When you push the remote fully forward, are the carbs fully open ?<br />Could be slipped cable.

Yes butterflys open full

Is the vent open on your tank? <br />Primer bulb hard?<br /><br />If it starts OK it sounds like it may be starving for fuel.<br /><br />Can you tell us more - any other problems?<br /><br />Greg

Is the enrichener valve stuck open?

Yes its getting plenty of gas, and the vent is working. When it is running, I give it full speed, and it just boughs. At that time then ,I will spray just a squirt of carb cleaner in throats of carb and it just wants to die, so I know its getting gas.
