First I have ordered a new OEM manual but have not received it yet. I am hoping someone can help get me on the water sooner than waiting on the manual.
My first question is should i use the shift shaft height recommended for the year of the lower unit (1983 50 hp) or the shaft height for my 1985 60 hp that i am replacing? and what is the correct height? E60TLCOD
Second is I purchased a new lower unit seal kit part number 396355, that fits the 1985 lower unit. When installing the new seals I went to install the seals for the drive shaft upper bearing housing cover, which requires two oil seals of OMC part number 321466 but after much research I determined the kit 396355 or 18-2659 only comes with one of the seals, but requires two.
But the kit includes a one of a seal number 322205 that i can not determine where it is used on my engine.
Thanks for any help.
