I have recently replaced piston #1 and fear it is fried again because no fuel is getting to the cylinder. Carb seems clean. where is the clog?

Chief, It If what you cite is true, it sounds like an air leak. The obvious places for an air leak are carb base gasket, end cap seal, crankcase seal, transfer cover seal. Make sure all are good, and the carb float height is set properly.

I will get started. I thought there might be a filter or screen some where that is cloged because cylinder 2 & 3 are getting plenty of fuel and #1 gets none.

Thanks

Chief, On the backdrag sidebowl carbs there is a fuel screen under the brass tee or elbow on the carb cover. If you have these fittings you might blow thru the fuel inlet and see if there is a restriction.
