I have noticed a rattling sound from coming from the bottom of the motor after a couple runs since I first put the boat in the water this summer.
The first time I heard it was at full speed. Docked it checked things out could not find anything loose.
Took it out again a few times and heard it on and off usally at high speed.
Was out this weekend knee boarding and nothing at first for the first half hour then started to notice it slightly when it was in neutral and then started to get worse at full speed again.
Then when crusing back to dock at slow speed it really started to rattle, thought its do or die and increased speed to half throttle to get back and it seemed to dissipate a bit and when I idled down to dock it didnt seem as bad again.
Also a few weeks ago after trolling for a couple of hours then running at full speed to dock. I let the boat sit for 20min and when I tried to start it the motor would jam/stick at the same spot that I marked on the fly wheel. But after letting it sit for a day it started again with out sticking.
Could this be a problem with the drive or in the motor itself and what would be the best way to determine where this problem lies.
