1985 8hp manifold/carb bolt replacement

How do these bolts come out? threaded? Pressed in? I used a die to cut what I could but it would be better to put a new one in. Thanks.

It looks to me like the back could be ground off, a cut off bolt put in and re-welded. I don't know if jb would keep it from pulling through or not.
Doubt it. It might br a threaded hole.

I believe it's threaded in. Most are. Vice grips to remove. Double nut it to reinstall.

A mechanic and I came to the same conclusion. He says it only takes 6# of torque for a carb and it might be better to just use blue lock tight. The machinist who did the last one must have tightened the new bolt too much and went out the back and then used JB to stop any air leaks. Might be better to take this way out.
