I found out my wmb-3 is cracked and I need another one but I am having issues finding one that will match out is there any other options. one of the problems is that there is a vac on the back right next to the head unit. I cant find a replacement carb for this anyone else have an idea where I can get another carb or what other carb should I look at to get this up and running.

look on ebay. plenty of motors being parted out. you may have to wait. between ebay and craigslist you should be able to find a replacement carb and some of the other NLA pieces

my guess is you meant 9.8 and not 9.5

power head and carb was same from 82-85

I think I have two options I am just not sure if the intake has to be exact like for like or port for port or if I can cheat a little on this one or I have to have the exact carb.

what confuses me is when I put in my s/n it gives me two single carbs for that year one made by tillerson and the other made by Walbro. So I got confused I also noticed that they used the same carb for the 7.5 as well and they almost look identical there is just some differences where it meets the block the 9.8 has one extra hole and one slot then the one I found for a 7.5 I mean when I look at the two side by side they look identical So I started wondering if I could take all the guts from the walbro and it would fit this tillerson and it would get the thing running at least that is all I care about its only going on a 10 ft boat so 7.5 vs 9.8 what difference am I really going to notice. as long as it smokes like it should and the it runs. but trying to fine they WMB carb is like taking for ever and I dont think they used that many of them
