I am starting a new thread. Not sure if this is proper, I apologize if not. My transom has rotted out, as has the piece that supports my platform. There appears to be three separate pieces of wood. One in the center for the motor and one on each side. The The outer skin is in fairly good condition but the inside is cracked and falling off. I plan to remove the center piece from the top and replace with new piece. The problem is that the top half of the wood on interior side is blocked by the well above it. How do I glass that area in? Also, the outside 1/3rd the board on the left that supports the platform blocked. There is no access from the top to this area. I don't know how to remove or reeplace this piece. The three pieces are not tied together. Is the only support for the transom the fiberglass? The center piece is connected to two stringers with knees. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Welcome to iBoats!
Basically you have two choices.

1. Remove the entire top cap of the boat to gain access to your transom.
2. cut the back section of the top cap to gain access and then reglass the sides.

Plenty of examples on the forum to help you with how this is done.
