Well I was out fishing the other day and it start pouring down rain like it has been the last few days straight in central Florida...I started heading to the boat ramp got almost there and I started loseing power...Slowed all the way down at the ramp it shut off couldnt start it back up ...So I called my buddy that works on my boat and said I was bringing it over...The next day he called me and said there was metal shavings all in one of the cyclinders...So looks like I blew it...He is going to take the power head off tommorrow after work and see how much damage there really is...
he said what proablly happened was the needles got clogged up in the carbs and didnt lube the engine enough and blew it....he said that is common with the older engines.....I'm just stuck...because i either have to get the power head rebuilt or buy new powerhead....And it aint cheap! I just got dont putting new starter, stator, and power packs
i'm located in Polk County Florida does anyone know of someone local that does machine work pretty cheap? or do you know where I can find a rebuild powerhead for a decent price with warranty?
I mean after i get it rebuilt ot get new powerhead i could turn around and sell it and not even get as much as i put into it out of it that is pretty sad!
