Hi Guys,
I'm Polish newbie rebulding Evinrude 60 like in title. I've purchased this outboard localy having bottom cylinder exploded due to overheating. I honed the engine and purchased the oversized piston kits 0.003" from Ebay and plenty of other new and used parts to get it almost finaly rebuilt.
I did not touch the gearcase as the check with compressed air says that it should be OK - no oil leakages. I only replaced the water pump kit for the new one and all the seals.
I noticed on forums that shift lever adjustment is important, but I couldn't find any recommendation how to perform it on this engine - what should be the right distance from the shirt rod hole on the top down to the gearcase surface? I have the service manual purchased from Internet but couldn't find the recommendation too.
Any valuable tip would be very welcome - thank You in advance.
Maciej
