I have the carb apart and as I disassembled the carb I noticed under the high speed jet is what appears to be another jet or distributi0n tube that is slotted. This tube is down and across the venturi. The slots have been deformed from others trying to remove this tube. I assume this would remove the distribution tube and that tube must have jetting holes located along it. I cannot get the tube out and I cannot see if holes are clear to spray out fuel. I have soaked it in carb cleaner, sprayed it repeatedly with PB blaster. I am thinking of boiling it to try and get that tube out IF IT NEEDS TO COME OUT AND BE CLEANED. Any help is appreciated.

don't try to take out tube...you will likely destroy carb trying

I can see that - does this distribute fuel to another area of the crab. No ports in that tube?

The venture develops a low pressure.----Fuel moves up that tube after it has been metered by the high speed jet.----What is your motor doing / not doing ??

Correct. Seemed in good shape, but I never had a chance to start it. Has spark and about 50lbs compression. Not a fair compression test as it has been sitting. Carb was not too bad. Checked the thermostat and it opens at 160. Re-doing the fuel pump, water pump impeller (looked like this had been changed) and fuel lines. Need to find a good service manual. Most are so broad.
