1985 Evinrude 9.9/15 nobs?

I have just purchased an 85 Evinrude Model number AE10R COM it has 2 nobs one near the choke and one on the throttle arm side of the external case <br /><br />can anyone tell me what they are also the best place to accuire a repair manual in Austrlaia<br /><br />Thanks in advance

My best guess would be hi and low speed carb adjustments. Once you get a manual you will know for sure.

Facing the motor, I believe the one on the left side is for adjusting the lean / rich mixture for the low speed. The one on the right is the kill button for stopping the engine.

thanks for the advice on all grounds.. <br /><br />mixture nob confirmed the other nob is not stop button ( that one i found it has a rubber coat on it ) the second nob is on the side of the case behind and above the throttle arm connection

Hello Bryen,<br />I think the knob that is in question is the one that you set the idle speed to the desired RPMs once the carb has been adjusted. It's just a screw that acts as a stop.
