1985 Force timing marks

I would appreciate it if someone could post a pic of the timining marks !
I got it running pretty good but seems to be lacking a little when trying to get up on plain!
14' bayliner trophy ,50hp force
It seems to run great when I get it up gps speed is 38mph!
Prop is stock 12 1/2 293

Timing marks are missing ,thanks ! Love the siteit has been a great help with this!

Just read that if I set the points to .020 I don't have to worry about the timking marks is this true ,everything else is set to manual spec

I don't think an 85Force has points.Do a compression/spark test.There should be 3 little lines about a 1/4" apart on the flywheel.It's 32-30-28 reading L-R
Unless you messed with something the timing won't really change too much.
I'd start with the carb.The air screw should be turned out 7/8 -1 turn out.J

I'm sorry its a 50hp force and put new points in it ! The timing marks above the carberator. Are gone ,flywheel has the marks but motor does not ,that's why I was aski ng

It'sa 1985 50hp Force? And you replaced the points?
The one I looked up doesn't have points.
What model and serial# for your motor?
I'm confused.J

Serial# 1916
Model# 507x5a

Its on a 14'' bayliner trophy

Sorry,A mind is a terrible thing to waste(mines gone)#13 on this diagram.
Boats.net Force parts.Look for reed plate assy and it's #13.
