Where can I get a snap ring plier to remove the two internal snap rings that are behind the bearing carrier in the lower unit? Or has someone devised a removal tool a to extract these rings? 1985 140 hp J140TXCO. Thanks

Your local Matco dealer will have one on his truck. And I'd strongly suspect that any automotive parts type store would have one also.... NAPA for one.
