1985 Mariner

I am looking to buy a Mariner 90hp ELPTO. I believe it is an '85. The serial# is A726655. The guy wants $1500. I was wondering if 115# in all 3 cyl was acceptable for this motor. I have never owned a merc so don't know to much about them. Also I have controls from a 90hp Force '90 I was wondering if they would work for the mariner.

From the serial # its a 1987 model, and 115 psi is good numbers. The remote wont work as it (Force) uses the terminal strip connections and the Merc uses a cannon plug, just go one Ebay and get ya one. Also try to get seller to knock off a couple of hundred for no control box.
