I have a 16 foot Aquarian bowrider that use to have a 65hp merc on it. Last year when removing it for winter, it caught fire and is now scrap. <br /><br />My local marina has a 1985 Merc 75ELPT for sale for $2295CDN and I am looking for some advice. Is this a good engine? Reliable etc. Is this a good price? So far, I have had trouble trying to find out engine values, they always seem to have a boat attached to them. We have a pontoon boat so this would only really be for water skiing/tubing etc. It would be used to move a floating dock as well. Any info/advice would be greatly appreciated.<br /><br />Thanks.
