I need to replace the fuel line on my 1985 Mercruiser 3.0 140hp. The fuel line is seized in the fitting that screws into the carb (where the inline fuel filter is housed). I need to know the name of that fitting or even better a part number and a place to get it if possible.

I searched the forum trying to find the name of the part. I found a good pic of someone else's carb that shows the part I am needing.

Thanks.

The fitting is part of the line. You can buy a "double flaring kit" and some steel brake line tubing and bend your own ,and double flare the one end.
DO NOT USE RUBBER FUEL LINE

I made a new fuel line for my 140 out of a (32" or 36",,, can't remember) brake line and didn't have to do any cutting and flaring the tube.

But, it was a real PITA getting everything to line up perfectly with the fixed length of tubing. Having a flaring tool would have made the job much easier.
