First post, tried searching for answers, but couldn't come up with anything. I have a 1985 Mercury 60 hp motor. I am having a trim problem, it goes up fine, however when going down it will move really slow, it almost makes putting noise when going down. This is the trim model that has the boat mounted pump with the two external rams. I checked the fluid level and it is about 3/4 full when the motor is all the way up. Not really sure what is going on, I attempted to use the reverse lock knob to see if I could push the motor down, however it doesn't appear to be working either. Any tips or suggestions, in the near future I plan on removing this trim system and installing a new panther trim unit, but I would like to be able to use the boat at least for the summer.
