I recently made the mistake of buying a boat equipped with this motor.

First time out in the boat the motor ran good for the most part but seemed to have a slight stutter every so often so we replaced the plugs. On the second trip out the motor was running very good, no more stutter what so ever. We jumped 5 or so mins from fishing hole to fishing hole. When it was time to head in throttled it up and cruised for about 3 mins and lost power while at full throttle. It bogged down to about 2mph. It would continue at 2mph but would not power back up. took off the lid and manually throttled in neutral and it revs fine, after a few mins throttle up and she goes for about 3 mins and then bogs down again. brought it home and replaced bulb, all fuel line, and fuel filter. Next trip out same thing bogs down after about 3 mins of full throttle. this time didnt mannually throttle the engine in neutral, just kept running bogged down for like 10 mins and then all the sudden she just jumps up on top of the water and goes for about a few mins and then bogs down again.

One thing I wanna note is, The original primer ball would not get firm so we replaced it, but the new primer bulb does not get hard either to this moment.

I have been told to rebuild the carbs, that deposits are causing the floats not to work properly. Is it even possible to rebuild these carbs? Carb kits are not even available right?

Correct, most parts are no longer available for that model engine so it should be retired.
