Recently purchased a 1985 SF-90 from a guy who lived close to my dad. Picked up the boat this weekend, and started digging in. Off the bat, the wiring was a mess. He was the owner who rather than fix the issue, hard wired it. So I cut out all of his mess, and have identified a majority of the factory wiring is intact and looks that can be functional with some work. My questions, does anyone have a functional wiring diagram for this model, or something similar? It would save alot of time from me tracing wire. Also would be interested to know about trolling motor, these boats ran on a 12, or 24 systm, or does it just depend on what trolling motor you have? Another question is parts, anyone have a good source for new or used skeeter parts... I will be needing some guages, tilt switch on control, and some other little odds and ends. All in all the boat is solid, and all there, it has a 70hp Evinrude on it, the VRO model, could I be right to assume that came on the boat new? It looks wired too nicely to be installed later in life. A few other questions, livewell pumps, are they rebuildable or better to buy new? Also, noticed some kind of sensor, black, with black insulated wire going into the loom- to the dash, its in the center of the battery/gas tank compartment, down low by the bilge pumps, any idea what this is for? Any other help, good links, or words of wisdom specific to this would be great! I think for my price I got this boat for, i'm well on the way! Look forward to meeting some guys on here and getting to work on this!
