Hi all,<br />Is this a good deal? and is the engine problem fixable?<br /><br />FROM HIS AD:<br />1985 SUNRAY WITH 50hp evenrude motor, motor is turning but not starting, not sure why, comes with trolling motor bracket, fish finder, bildge pump and trailer. $800. Howdy Dave!<br /><br />Wheither its a good deal or not depends on alot of things.<br /><br />I would ask if he cared if I ran a compression test on motor. If its above a hundred on both then its probably machanacily sound. The not starting could be one of a dozen reasons. all related to either fuel or fire.<br /><br />After that is your call, If you like the color, then make an offer.<br /><br />Any motor is repairable even if its laying in the back seat and in peices.....Grin!<br /><br />But ya mite not wana pay much for it.<br /><br />Good luck!
