1985 Trigger wires

I have a 1985 70 hp 3 cyc Mercury outboard. My factory trigger that I am replacing has a brown, purple, white, and a white with a black tape marker on it. The new trigger has a red, white, black, and purple. Any encouraging words.

The new trigger should have instruction with it, Black replaces the white with black tape - red replaces the brown.
