I am currently running new wire from my trim sensors to the trim motor. The current wires appear to be stranded copper or aluminum wire. Cant really tell from the corrosion. Even the insulation has corroded off in spots. Question is will solid be a better wire choice or should I go back with stranded wire?

You don't use solid wire on any moving object including a boat. You want stranded copper..

Ayuh,..... Solid wire can't take the constant bendin', 'n will break in short order,.....

The original wires are tinned copper,.... the coatin' on 'em sucks, 'n breaks up,....

Personally, I by-pass the whole thing, 'n use my seat of the pants to know where it's trimmed too,...
