1986 4.3 L intake manifold

I am looking for a 1986 4.3 L intake manifold. It has a 2 barrel carb without automatic choke. Any suggestions were to get one? My normal parts source says that it is not available.

Yup, they don't make em like that anymore. The new ones have only 8 bolt holes and the one on yours should have 12. I had the same problem last year, had to replace mine on my 1989 4.3. Got one on ebay for around $50 in good cond. You might get someone from this forum to chime in that has one for sale, but ebay might be your only other hope.

This one is on there right now but it is for a OMC Cobra, not sure if it will work on a Merc, they look identical but I just can't be sure, hopefully another iboater with that knowledge will come forward? Good luck!

Boy, that's a good question! I've had pretty good luck on ebay for stuff like this. I also had to replace my thermostat housing last year and found one (actually several were up for sale at the time) on ebay as that part is no longer made anymore either. Craigslist or Recycler.com are possiblilites, or try other boat parts websites. I've seen that old style manifold now and then after I found one on ebay, they are out there, just keep looking!

Thanks for the reply. I had actaully seen the one on ebay earlier in the day - it's from an OMC, mine engine is a Mercruiser so I wasn't sure it would be an exact fit. I emailed the seller and he assured me it would fit, so I bought it.
