I have a 1986 2stroke 45 which I believe (according to the serial a996603) started life as an electric start/oil injected model. The oil injection has been removed and now I have a primer bulb with a wm4 upper carb and a wm9 lower carb. Ther is no fuel pump mounted on the engine and I need a little troubleshooting help. This unit will do fine until it is shut off and sits for awhile then:confused: it runs on as many cylinders as it feels it necessary. Gets us back home, but is scary.

Just my luck, none of the free manuals cover this. I was hoping to get info on setting the carbs, timing and synchronizing!

On the chance of sounding "thick", when you pump up a primer bulb should it be hard? Not old and brittle hard, just hard from being pumped up.

Soooo, would sucking air or leaky needle valves cause a squishy bulb?
