Hey guys, so I’m getting my old Starcraft ready to sell after my new (to me) tracker. I started the motor for the first time in a year and she fired right up after some fresh fuel and a new battery. There was no water coming out of the water outlet so I pulled the lower unit to replace the impeller and the impeller was fine. I fired it up and it still didn’t wouldnt push any water out so I pulled the hose and I have clamped onto the outlet and the outlet is not plugged. After thinking I may have tightened to impeller housing too tight I pulled it again and when I was reinstalling it I noticed it was not sliding in as easy as it has all the other times I’ve pulled the LU and I found the shift linkage that is located in the rear of the mid unit was bent and mangled pretty good, not 100% sure what happened but I’m assuming I broke it stabbing the LU in at some point. I’ve never come across this problem before and I was wondering how I would go about fixing it. I’m pretty mechanically inclined with diesel and gasoline engines so I am sure I can figure it out. I just don’t know where to start on pulling this thing out and finding a replacement. I appreciate any input, thanks guys!
